Lou DeCola is the founder of DeCola Salon and has been a leader in the beauty industry for more than 42 years. His journey began in a South Philadelphia barbershop, where he discovered a passion for the craft that would eventually grow into one of the region's most respected salon brands.

In 1989, Lou opened his first salon, beginning what would become more than four decades of entrepreneurship in the beauty industry. As his experience and vision grew, so did the business, evolving through multiple locations, expansions, and brand transformations before becoming the DeCola Salon clients know today.

From the beginning, Lou's goal was never simply to build a successful salon. He wanted to create a business where exceptional guest experiences, continuous education, and strong leadership came together to help both clients and stylists thrive. That commitment has earned DeCola Salon national recognition, including being named one of the Top 200 Salons in America for five consecutive years.

Throughout his career, Lou has developed his own professional haircare line, appeared on QVC, been featured in publications including Main Line Today and Philadelphia Magazine, and provided hair and makeup for television productions such as The Makeover Story and 10! Show.

Today, Lou is also a nationally recognized educator, traveling throughout the United States to speak at major beauty industry conferences and provide private consulting to salon owners looking to strengthen their businesses, leadership, and salon culture. Whether he's mentoring a stylist behind the chair or speaking to hundreds of salon professionals, Lou is passionate about raising the industry's standards.
